Slide cutting is a specialty hair stylist technique that features the shears gliding through the hair with the thumb scissor blade scissoring or slicing rapidly. Slide cutting can be done on wet or dry hair, but most stylists slide cut on dry hair. Slide cutting scissors feature curved or arced blades so that the hair is kept in place as the scissors slice through the hair at the back of the blades.
